Review:The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan

Since their mother's death, Carter and Sadie have become near strangers. While Sadie has lived with her grandparents in London, her brother has traveled the world with their father, the brilliant Egyptologist, Dr. Julius Kane.

One night, Dr. Kane brings the siblings together for a "research experiment" at the British Museum, where he hopes to set things right for his family. Instead, he unleashes the Egyptian god Set, who banishes him to oblivion and forces the children to flee for their lives.

Soon, Sadie and Carter discover that the gods of Egypt are waking, and the worst of them —Set— has his sights on the Kanes. To stop him, the siblings embark on a dangerous journey across the globe - a quest that brings them ever closer to the truth about their family and their links to a secret order that has existed since the time of the pharaohs.

Sadie Kane can't wait for the arrival of her family. Not that she cares for her annoying brother, but she rarely sees her father. But her hopes of a christmas dinner with him are dashed when a visit to the British Museum ends with the disappearance of her father and the destruction of the Roseta Stone.

Carter's life is a blur after a man by the name of Amos kidnaps them. Even worse, minions of the supposed "god" Set, are chasing after him. With nobody except his sister Sadie, and a crazy cat goddess, he knows that he has to save his father. Also, why does he seem to be stronger and smarter then usual?

Carter is smart and all, but who can not like Sadie? The stubbornness, the sarcastic humor, the sassiness? Who else is as hilariously annoying as she?

Review: Diary of a Wimpy Villager Book 4 by Cube Kid

How will Runt handle the next test?
This is Book 4 of the Wimpy Villager series—a great series for gaming fans of all ages. Grab the first three books before starting this one.

The first three books were about school problems. But something sinister lurks just outside the village-a mysterious forest quickly spreading toward the village. The only clue Runt has is one name-Herobrine.

You totally didn't see this coming. You TOTALLY didn't see this coming.

Let this be a warning to all of you-cookies CAN be dangerous.
